Our Privacy Promise

We built Waxbloom for candle lovers, by candle lovers — and we know your personal candle collection notes, burn memories, and wax pool photos are special to you. That's why we built every part of this app with privacy as our first priority, not an afterthought. This policy explains exactly how we handle (or, more accurately, don't handle) your data when you use our burn log tool to archive your candles, track burn duration, wax pool formation, scent throw, capture wax pool evolution photos, and analyze your custom burn curves.

We never require you to create an account, share any personal information, or upload your data to use any core feature of Waxbloom.

What Data We Collect

The short answer: almost none, and never any personal identifiable information tied to you.

All content you create within the app — your candle archive entries, burn duration logs, wax pool formation notes, scent throw ratings, wax pool evolution photos, custom burn curve analysis, and personal preference tags — is stored exclusively on your local device storage. We do not host, sync, access, or store any of this personal content on our external servers, at any point.

We may optionally collect fully anonymous, aggregate usage data (such as how many users use the burn curve analysis feature, or how many photos are logged on average per user) only to help us improve app features. This data is never tied to your identity, and never includes any content from your personal log. You can turn off even this anonymous usage tracking in the app settings at any time.

Third-Party Data Sharing

We will never sell, rent, lease, or share your personal data with any third parties for advertising, marketing, or any other commercial purposes.

If you choose to use the optional share feature to send your wax pool photos or burn logs to friends or external social platforms, the content you share is sent directly from your device to the platform you select. We do not store, view, or retain copies of any content you choose to share via these optional features.

Your Control Over Your Data

Since all of your personal log data lives only on your device, you have full, exclusive control over it at all times:

You can edit, delete, or export individual candle entries at any time
You can clear all Waxbloom app data from your device permanently in one click via your device settings
We have no ability to access, modify, or recover any data you delete, as we never store copies of your content

Minors' Privacy

Waxbloom is intended for use by users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect any information from users under the age of 13, and as we do not collect any personal identifiable information from any users, all content created by minor users is also stored exclusively on their own device, with no access by our team.

Policy Updates

We may update this privacy policy occasionally as we add new features to Waxbloom. We will notify all users of any material changes via an in-app notice before the updated policy takes effect. Any policy updates will never change our core promise: we will never collect, store, or share your personal candle log content, and core app features will never require you to upload personal data to use.
